DirectMe Privacy Policy

The short version
DirectMe keeps everything on your phone. We do not collect, store, sell or share your personal information or your location. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
Location
DirectMe uses your phone's GPS and compass to point you back to places you have saved. Your location and your saved places are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. If you allow background location, the app uses it only to keep guiding you while the screen is off.
Notes, photos and the camera
You can add a note or a photo to a saved spot, such as a car park level and bay. DirectMe uses the camera only when you tap TAKE A PHOTO. Notes and photos are stored only inside DirectMe on your phone. They are never uploaded, never added to your photo library, and are deleted when you delete or replace the spot, or uninstall the app. DirectMe does not use your microphone.
Sharing a spot
You can share a saved spot, or where you are standing, with someone else. DirectMe builds a short message (the name, the coordinates, a DirectMe link and a map link) and hands it to the app you choose, such as WhatsApp, Messages or email. That app sends it; DirectMe sends nothing itself and keeps no record of who you shared with. A DirectMe link only contains what you see in the message. If someone shares a spot with you, it is added to your saved spots only when you tap ADD.
Maps
If you open the map view while you have reception, your phone downloads map tiles from the map provider (Apple Maps, Google Maps or OpenStreetMap, depending on your device). Like any website, that provider receives your device's internet address and the map area being shown. The offline radar view uses no network at all.
Purchases
If you subscribe to DirectMe Pro, Apple or Google handles the payment. We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipt, never your name, card details or location. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Children
DirectMe is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Deleting your data
DirectMe, by CentricAI, keeps your location, saved places, notes and photos only on your phone. To delete them, open DirectMe, go to Settings and tap DELETE under Saved spots, or uninstall the app. Nothing else is kept.
If you subscribed to DirectMe Pro, RevenueCat keeps an anonymous app user ID and your purchase record so your subscription works. To have that deleted, email support@centricai.com.au with the subject "DirectMe data deletion". We delete it within 30 days. Apple and Google keep their own records of the payment under their own policies.
